HS diploma / GED and valid MO driver's license required. Qualifying candidates will also require basic computer skills.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include: days / evenings / weekdays / weekends / holidays.

Community Opportunities is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated and dependable Accounting Assistant to join our team in Troy, MO. This is an on-site Monday-Friday position ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has an accounting/bookkeeping background, has great organizational skills and is self-motivated to supporting day-to-day financial operations. Experience with Sage Accounting software preferred, but not required.
What You’ll Do:
- Process payroll and accounts payable accurately and on schedule
- Maintain financial records and assist with bookkeeping tasks
- Compile data, prepare reports, and support budgeting activities
- Perform administrative and clerical duties, including document preparation and data entry
- Provide general office support and assist with additional tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (related experience may be substituted for degree)
- Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting practices
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
